Xtreme Hope:
Each week young people ages 12-19 gather on Sunday and Wednesday nights to experience more of God. Xtreme Sunday nights are geared toward discipleship and spiritual growth with small groups and all worship nights to encourage the young people on a weekly basis. Xtreme Wednesday nights are designed specifically as an outreach to provide excitement and hope to the middle of the school week. Students who are truly involved in Xtreme are consistently taken to a whole new spiritual level.
Xtreme Love:
Aside from everything that's offered at Xtreme Student Ministries, the most important thing of all is the relevant teaching and the dynamic worship that together brings students to a closer love of God. Each week Pastor Tim Defendorf brings an applicable and relevant word from God that the students can carry with them throughout the rest of their week and beyond. Xtreme's worship team; Pursuit of Red, ushers in the anointing of God with life-changing worship. The purpose of Xtreme is to see youth lives changed, build Godly relationship, and become disciples of Christ that are trained to do the works that Jesus and greater. We are not your average youth ministry, we are a movement determined to change lives for Jesus Christ.
Xtreme Entertainment:
The moment you enter Xtreme's facilities, it's evident that it is a ministry that rests on the cutting edge of technology. Boasting eight flat screens, six Mac computers, three X-box 360's, Play Station 3, and a Nintendo Wii, Xtreme is technologically relevant in every way. Xtreme also offers numerous big events throughout the year from our all you can eat Chocolate Night to spinning the big wheel and possibly winning a car on the Price is Right and everything in between. At Xtreme, there is always something for you.
Xtreme Food:
Hunger is a rare feeling around Xtreme. Before and after every Sunday and Wednesday night servic, great food is served in the Xtreme cafe with prices that will please the wallet. And if it's Xtreme thirst that you experience, we've got it covered from energy drinks to sodas. Xtreme cafe is always open and they have it all. Not only that, but food is also featured at big events and is made tastier by the fact that usually it's all you can eat for free! YUM YUM.

Saturday July 11th, come be a part of the movement as we minister to the community in our Summer of service project. Please meet at the church at 9:30am ready to help go up and down Western ave cleaning up trash.
Sunday night July 12th, we will be going into the main service for the baptism part of service. We are encouraging everyone who has not been baptized to get baptized on this night.

This year we will be going back to Woodland Camp in Atlanta Georgia. July 26-29, will be a week that you will never forget. We will have dynamic services along with fun competitions and strong team building activities. Schedules and more information will be posted soon.
Sunday July 12th, Xtreme will be hosting a camp fundraiser Cheeseburger lunch. We will serve along with the cheeseburger, baked beans, chips, drinks and homemade desserts. The cost is only $5 and the funds raised will go towards the overall expenses of camp. Bring your co-workers, your neighbors and your friends.

When does Xtreme Meet?
Xtreme meets on Wednesday nights at 7:00pm and on Sunday nights at 6:00pm.
Where does Xtreme Meet?
Xtreme meets in the Student Center at Redemption Church. 3550 Pleasant Ridge Rd. Knoxville Tennessee 37921.
How long does an Xtreme Service last?
The typical Xtreme service usually meets the same length of time that the main service meets between 60-75 minutes.
What do you do when you arrive at Xtreme?
We ask that everyone check-in and get a wristband. This let's the security team and leaders know that everyone is accounted for and that no one that shouldn't be in the facility is there. This is a security messure to assure the safty of every student in Xtreme.
What is Emerge?
Emerge is our Junior High ministry. It is a high impact service with worship, fun activites, powerful preaching and of course food for our 6th, 7th and 8th graders.
When and where does Emerge meet?
Emerge meets in the Student Center on Sunday mornings at 10:15am. There is no Emerge on the 2nd Sunday of each month. We attend the main service that week.
Does Xtreme have areas of ministry that youth can get involved in?
Absolutley YES!!! At Xtreme we believe that involvement leads to commitment. We have a drama team, dance team, a discipleship program named F.U.S.E. and every year we have a find your place service where we ask student to be a part of the everyday operation of Xtreme by presenting a list ministry opportunities.

Pastor Tim Defendorf is the Youth Pastor at Xtreme. He has been in ministry for over 15 years. He began ministering in a Christian music group called 4-Christ in the 90's. From there, he became the Youth Pastor at Country Acres Assembly in Topeka Kansas. In 2004, He became the Associate Youth Pastor at Lenexa Christian Center in Kansas City Kansas. In 2007, Pastor Tim became the Youth Pastor at Xtreme in Knoxville Tennessee.
Pastor Tim has great experience, relevant ideas and the ability to lead the youth. His desire is to see youth from all over, accept Christ, become discipled and grow together as a movement making disciples of others.
Pastor Tim has an amazing support in his wife, Rachel, who jumps right in and is a very active part in the ministry. They have 2 children Blake who is 9 and Kaleb who is 4.
Pastor Tim has an open door policy in the youth and encourages parents to come and witness what their youth are learning.
Pastor Tim believes that the method of drawing in youth is not sacred, but the message that reaches them is. With the services designed around drawing the youth into a closer relationship with Christ, Pastor Tim feels that through dynamic worship and relevant preaching, kids will be challenged and their hearts will be changed.
JOURNEY is a college prep program for Xtreme Youth Students. The program is designed to help Junior and Seniors and our college age student find money for college. The goal is to reduce the amount of student loans they would have to take by finding scholorships and grants that students and parents might not know about.
JOURNEY has a team of knowledgable leaders who have experience in financial aid reseach and have a passion to see our students succeed.
JOURNEY'S purpose is to see every student strive to gain an education and better themselves. Every student and family that is willing to participate, will get the opportunity to meet with our guidence team and determine what is the next step for our students after high school.
